Don't Trust Standard Medicine
If you’re like most people out there, then you probably wonder about the medical advice you’re given…
Where it comes from, what side effects it could have, and, most importantly, whether it’s good for you…
With that in mind, I thought it would be a good idea to explain why I think it pays to have some healthy skepticism about conventional medicine…
And consider natural medicine as an alternative.
Now, before you get scared, let me tell you right from the start that there are many aspects of modern medicine that I believe have had incredible benefits…
And I’ll talk about some of those later in this article, however, the focus today is why I think conventional medicine has a lot of problems…
Many of which have a direct effect on your health.
And afterward, I’ll write another article showing you why natural medicine makes sense in many cases.
But for today, I’ll begin with what I consider to be the biggest failing of mainstream medicine…
Conventional Medicine Doctors Give Bad Nutrition Advice
The next time you visit your mainstream doctor, ask them a simple question…
“During your medical education, how much were you taught about diet and nutrition?”
The answer may surprise you…
You see, most doctors have little-to-no training in nutrition…
If you’re a regular reader of my articles, then you know why that’s an issue – many of our health conditions are related to a poor diet or one that doesn’t address certain deficiencies.
And because little time is spent by doctors to learn how your diet affects every part of your body, you get nutrition advice that can be completely different from doctor to doctor…
And can be completely WRONG!
I can’t tell you how many people have consulted me after seeing their condition get WORSE after following diet recommendations from their mainstream doctor.
Now, if your conventional doctor HAD studied nutrition as extensively as a natural practitioner, they would understand that your diet is a fundamental core of your health…
And that eating better is often the first step towards getting well.
But instead, they follow a completely different diagnosis and “treatment” plan…
“By The Book” Medical Treatment
They may not learn nutrition, but what doctors do learn at medical university is how to diagnose a condition using a standard formula…
If you have X symptoms and Y test results, then it must be Z problem.
And the answer to that problem also has a formula, one that’s largely dictated by pharmaceutical companies that want to sell their drugs…
So, for example, you go to your mainstream doctor because you’re prediabetic. They run the tests, write down your symptoms, and their formula points them to a prescription for Metformin…
No dietary changes, no investigation into lifestyle issues, no analytical thinking about your personal health – they’re just following the formulas they’ve been taught by both medical universities and pharmaceutical companies.
Which leads us to where we are today – a nation plagued by health conditions and taking all sorts of pills that are…
Patches Instead of Cures
And this is where things get dangerous…
All of those pills you’ve been prescribed, they DO NOT cure your condition.
Nope, their intended effect is to deal with the SYMPTOMS of the condition you have. In fact, there are very few pharmaceutical treatments out there that actually seek to rid you of your health problems.
I won’t go into too much depth here, but the fact of the matter is that these companies are out to make a profit…
And what’s more profitable than a patient who never gets better and is advised to keep taking drugs for their symptoms?
The answer – absolutely nothing.
In today’s world, when you get sick, you become a lifelong customer for pharmaceutical companies, pure and simple.
When you add up all these aspects, it’s easy to see why our mainstream medicine is broken…
There’s no consideration for your diet, no attempt at actually fixing the problem, and a diagnosis-treatment plan that’s created by companies that profit from your sickness.
And that’s really a terrible state of affairs.
Now, as I mentioned above, it’s not all gloom and doom with conventional medicine…
And I want to play devil’s advocate a little bit by sharing with you some of the good parts of mainstream medicine…
Benefits of Conventional Medicine
There’s no denying that the world’s health is in a better place overall due to advanced medical technology and research breakthroughs…
We’ve basically wiped out diseases like polio that were a serious threat just a generation or two ago…
And there are plenty of effective vaccines that keep our children healthy…
There’s tons of GOOD out there in our medical system, and I truly believe that the vast majority of people enter the medical world out of a desire to help and heal…
And the truth is that there are many doctors, nurses, and other medical professionals doing exactly that…
Many of which I count among my colleagues and personal friends.
They’re the ones that do their own research and continue learning, that care about nutrition, and are willing to go against the status quo policy of prescribing a pill for every little problem.
And when I think about the hard work they’re doing, what really bugs me is how great the medical system COULD BE…
Imagine that we’ve got all these great things working together:
- Excellent education for medics
- Doctors that WANT to help you get better
- High-quality hospital facilities and state-of-the-art equipment
- Nearly limitless money for research
And yet, something is missing.
Is Natural Medicine the Key?
In a few days, I’m going to write another article to tell you why I think that something missing is natural medicine…
And I’ll explain how it differs from mainstream medicine and the advantages it brings.
For now, I strongly urge you to be wary of conventional medicine and not just believe that the medical world is acting in your interest…
Because it isn’t.
And there are many problems in mainstream medicine, just a few of which I’ve shown you above.
Make sure you read my second article about natural medicine and how it can help…
If you want to boost your body’s strength naturally, you might want to…
